‘Inherited mess’: Biden administration blamed for Spirit Airlines collapse
The Biden administration has been blamed for the collapse of Spirit Airlines.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy slammed the previous Biden administration and the Department of Justice for quashing a merger between JetBlue and Spirit.
Duffy goes on to say he is proud of all other airlines for stepping in to fill the gap that Spirit left.
The budget airline halted all flights on early Saturday morning and started what is called an “orderly shutdown” of operations.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also commented, asserting that the shutdown was part of the mess that the Biden administration left behind.
Bessent also lashed Pete Buttigieg as the worst transportation secretary in history.
