Ilhan Omar desperately begs supporters for money as immigration probe reaches fever pitch
Ilhan Omar is asking supporters for fresh campaign cash as a federal investigation into her immigration history intensifies.
The Minnesota Democrat thanked donors in a new video and urged them to keep sending money as she fights the Trump administration.
Omar said contributions would help her resist what she called an intimidation campaign launched just weeks before the midterm elections.
Federal agents recently searched her Washington home and seized electronic devices and other property under a judicially approved warrant.
The investigation is examining possible fraud and false statements in immigration paperwork, though Omar has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
