Iguana defies science in rare event
A female iguana at a zoo in the United Kingdom has given birth to eight hatchlings without never having mated. Known as a ‘virgin birth’, it happens due to a process that allows unfertilised eggs to develop into embryos creating offspring that are genetic clones of their mother. #lizard #iguana #animals #zooanimals
