‘I Didn’t Ask If…’: Jim Jordan CLASHES With SPLC Lawyer In Hearing; FRC Chief Drops Truth Bombs

Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) pressed civil rights attorney Maya Wiley with a series of confrontational questions aimed at challenging the organization’s credibility and fundraising practices. Wiley repeatedly pushed back, arguing that SPLC donors continue to support the organization despite political criticism. The hearing, titled “Manufacturing Hate,” centered on accusations raised by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who claimed the SPLC was “manufacturing the extremism it purports to oppose” rather than combating hate groups. The proceedings also followed a federal grand jury indictment issued on April 21, which reportedly charged the SPLC with multiple counts including wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
