Houthi Rebels Claim They Shot Down Saudi Drone
Yemen’s Houthi group said on July 26 that it shot down a Saudi-operated reconnaissance drone over the northern province of Al-Jawf, while a separate security incident involving a tanker was reported near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait in the southern Red Sea. The claims come a day after the Houthis said they targeted Saudi Aramco facilities in Jizan and Yanbu, and after reported Saudi-led airstrikes on Houthi positions in northern Yemen, marking the latest escalation in cross-border hostilities and raising fresh concerns over the security of Red Sea shipping.
