Hochul Signs Sweeping Immigration Protections Limiting ICE Powers in New York #shorts

Kathy Hochul signed a package of immigration measures aimed at restricting ICE operations across New York. The new laws ban local jails from holding people for ICE, prohibit certain cooperation agreements with federal immigration authorities, and limit enforcement actions at schools, hospitals, churches and other sensitive locations without a judicial warrant.
