Two years after a historic storm dumped about 10 inches of rain across Suffolk County’s North Shore, some communities are still recovering.
The storm washed out a road in Stony Brook, collapsed dams in Smithtown and forced families from flooded homes in Rocky Point. While several rebuilding projects are now moving forward, some residents are still dealing with what was lost.
