An EF-1 tornado with winds peaking at 110 mph struck Santa Fe’s Via Caballero neighborhood on the evening of October 24, damaging multiple homes, uprooting trees, and tearing down fences. According to National Weather Service surveys and local media, it marks the first recorded tornado in the city in more than 50 years.
