‘He had a lot of hatred in his heart’: Trump on ‘sick, bad’ White House dinner shooter
US President Donald Trump had to be rushed out of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner yesterday after an alleged gunman opened fire at the event.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a post on X that the dinner was “hijacked by a depraved crazy person who sought to assassinate the President and kill as many top Trump administration officials as possible”.
There are growing questions over how the man was able to run through the lobby of the hotel in Washington DC and open fire.
The President was unharmed in the incident and spoke to Fox News earlier today.
“He had a lot of hatred in his heart for quite a while … he’s got some big problems with the rest of his life,” President Trump said.
