As parts of Europe continue to battle ongoing wildfires and persistent heatwaves, has the norm of a holiday in Europe changed forever?

Just this week, fires near tourist hotspots like Bordeaux were described as “fires of the century” and Spain declared a national emergency after wildfires swept near its capital of Madrid.

Meanwhile, the rising temperatures are having a knock-on effect to costs of holidaying in Europe, with sunbeds in some areas sometimes costing more than a flight to reserve.
