Govt considering using eKYC to verify age, identity of OMI users
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the government is considering the use of the eKYC (electronic know your customer) verification system to verify the age and identity of Omi Blind Date (OMI) application users.
He said the verification can be done using official government documents such as MyKad, passport and MyDigital ID.
