Government moves to tighten trust laws
After 38 years, South Africa’s trust laws are getting a complete overhaul.
Earlier this week, Cabinet approved the Regulation of Trusts Bill, which will replace the outdated Trust Property Control Act of 1988.
The goal is to crack down on money laundering, protect vulnerable beneficiaries, and hold trustees accountable.
