Germany debates putting climate measures in its constitution | DW News
With wildfires raging and river levels at historic lows, Social Democrats in Chancellor Merz’s government are saying Germany should include a commitment to climate adaptations in its Basic Law – or constitution. There is support for the plan, but not yet from Merz himself. And some opposition parties think it would be a waste of time.
