Former East Meadow Teacher Sentenced to 19 Month for Child Pornography Possession
A former East Meadow music teacher who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography last year was sentenced to 19 months in prison.
Michael Fazio, 41, of Bellmore, was found with more than 1,100 images when federal investigators searched his home in April 2025.
Fazio faced 6½ to 8 years under federal sentencing guidelines, but the judge imposed a shorter sentence, citing his lack of a prior criminal record and that he was not involved in producing or distributing the material.
He will also serve 5½ years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.
