Firearm Case | Malema to remain an MP as appeal process develops
Legal and Constitutional experts say EFF leader Julius Malema can still serve as a Member of Parliament until all his legal options have been exhausted.
This follows the 5-year jail term handed down to Malema by the Regional Court in KuGompo City on Thursday, which raised questions on his eligibility to be an MP.
The case related to the unlawful discharging of a firearm at a EFF rally at the Sisa Dukashe stadium in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape in 2018.
