Family welcomes rare identical quadruplets
An Australian woman has given birth to extremely rare, naturally conceived identical quadruplet daughters. The babies shared one placenta and developed from a single fertilized egg. Emily, Harriet, Alexa and Catherine were delivered by elective caesarean section at 28 weeks and four days’ gestation at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. They join parents Jenitar Sau and Jortham Na’amoana and four other siblings.
