Severe weather warnings are in place for the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Areas between KuGompo City and Port Edward face an Orange Level 6 warning (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/brrr-floods-snow-forecast-severe-weather-expected-hit-eastern-cape-and-kzn) for disruptive rainfall, flooding and possible snow, while parts of KZN are under Yellow Level 4 and 2 warnings.
Six people have died in a head-on collision on the N2 near Mooiplaas (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/six-killed-fiery-eastern-cape-crash) outside KuGompo City. One vehicle caught fire, and motorists have been urged to take extreme care.
Former IDAC head Andrea Johnson (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/livestream-andrea-johnson-returns-witness-stand) faced more Madlanga Commission questions over the investigation of Crime Intelligence officer Lieutenant-General Peter Jacobs and task-team promotions. Professor Alex van den Heever called for stronger oversight of public-institution appointments.
The NDPP has ordered the withdrawal of charges against Crime Intelligence head Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/ndpp-orders-withdrawal-dumisani-khumalos-charges) and other officers after representations and an IDAC memorandum.

South Africa and Nigeria have agreed to ease tensions after talks in Abuja. Ronald Lamola and Bola Tinubu (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/sa-nigeria-commit-stronger-ties-bid-ease-tensions) discussed migration and cross-border crime.
In Johannesburg, Sandton and Randburg residents say Pikitup’s refuse backlog (https://www.enca.com/news/overflowing-bins-pikitup-promise-falls-flat-rubbish-piles) remains unresolved, leaving overflowing bins.

At the Khampepe Commission into TRC cases, Terresa Sindane denied joining meetings about specific prosecutions.
SPORT
