A sixth accused has been added to the Emmanuel Mbense murder case. The State opposes bail in the Schedule 6 case.
The DA wants Ekurhuleni to fast-track Mkhwanazi’s disciplinary hearing, saying he should not keep receiving a salary while suspended.
Parliament is launching an inquiry into gang violence (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/parliament-launches-inquiry-cape-town-gang-violence-crisis) after deadly shootings in Langa, Gugulethu, Khayelitsha and Reiger Park. Ian Cameron says families and communities must help shape solutions. Police are also stepping up operations in Eldorado Park.
