Photographs took centre stage in the attempted murder trial of Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala in the High Court in Johannesburg. The court rejected an attempt by Nardus Grovè (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories-videos/state-witness-faces-cross-examination-matlala-trial) to use still images during cross-examination because they were taken four years after the incident and were unauthenticated.
At the Madlanga Commission, IDAC head Advocate Andrea Johnson (https://www.enca.com/news-top-stories/livestream-andrea-johnson-continues-testimony) admitted the directorate requested a Section 27 referral from MP Fadiel Adams against Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo.
