EC Weather | Dams reach full capacity after rainfall
The recent rainfall that hit parts of the Eastern Cape has brought much-needed relief to drought-stricken areas in the province.
The dam levels in most of the municipalities in the province have reached full capacity.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Metro is one of the regions that was gravitating towards day zero.
The combined dam levels supplying the Metro have risen from around 36 percent to above full capacity within days, with the Kouga and Churchill dams now overflowing.
The Impofu Dam has also overflowed for the first time in years.
