EC Social Development dept. comes to aid of 6-year-old child responsible for mentalli-ill mother

A six-year-old boy in Mandela Park in Mthatha has been found taking care of his grandmother, mentally ill mother, and his two-year-old sibling.

Eastern Cape Social Development MEC, Bukiwe Fanta, has expressed deep concern following the discovery, saying it highlights the urgent need for intervention and support for vulnerable families in communities.
