#Driver loses control and plows into #sidewalk in Polish #city
Pedestrians in the Polish city of Nowy Sącz narrowly avoided a serious tragedy after a car skidded across the road and crashed into guardrails near the town square.
The vehicle struck an elderly man standing on the sidewalk near a bus stop, where several other people, including children, were also present.
The man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police told local media.
“If the driver intentionally caused the car to skid in an area where there were pedestrians, a bus stop, and other people, then this is not just harmless recklessness,” a lawyer has said.
