DRC Ebola outbreak spreads at record pace

More than 4 000 people have contracted Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and over 1 800 have died since the outbreak was declared in mid-May.

Health experts say the outbreak is now the fastest-spreading Ebola epidemic on record.

The World Health Organisation and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention are urging greater community engagement to help contain the virus
