In a world where electronic devices have become the main way people consume information and entertainment, Sanlly Wang has gone against the grain by opening a community bookstore in Hong Kong’s Tuen Mun area. Although independent bookstores have had trouble staying afloat amid economic challenges, the former NGO worker and Web3 event planner said she felt it was important to create a space for people to gather, have face-to-face conversations and foster creativity.
