Día de los Muertos events continue in wake of Operation Metro Surge
Twin Cities community members gathered to remember loved ones and neighbors whose lives were affected by ICE activity in Minnesota.
As part of the 27th annual Día de los Muertos Community Event at Academias La Paz School District, dance group Kalpulli KetzalCoatlicue lead the crowd to a candlelit room that featured five “ofrendas,” traditional alters to welcome back the spirits of lost loved ones.
