“Dead #internet” warning as #AI floods #online traffic
„50% of all the traffic on the internet is AI generated. […] That shows you the scale of how far we are in when it comes to the so-called dead internet.”
In the latest episode of You&AI, Aleksandra Przegalińska, Vice-Rector of Kozminski University and Fellow at Harvard University, warned that a significant share of AI-generated online activity fuels disinformation and propaganda.
She noted that Russia has become particularly effective at leveraging scalable, low-cost bot networks to manipulate online conversations, amplify its narratives, and target content that challenges Kremlin messaging.
