Democrat Chris Pappas used his victory speech in New Hampshire’s US Senate race to deliver a blistering attack on Donald Trump, portraying the result as a rejection of the president’s record on the economy, tariffs, war and healthcare. Pappas said voters were struggling with the cost of gas, groceries and housing and were “sick of the tariffs” and “endless war.” He called Trump “the most corrupt president in our history” and later described him as an “incompetent president who can’t even be bothered to care how people are being hurt.” Declaring that voters had “had enough,” Pappas called the result a “wake-up call” for corporate interests, billionaires and lawmakers he accused of enabling the administration’s policies.
