Court rules Coles misled customers on discounts

The Federal Court has found supermarket giant Coles has broken consumer laws by misleading shoppers on discount prices.

The outcome has been welcomed by the ACCC, which instituted proceedings against Coles and Woolworths, with a judgement for the other major supermarket chain to come at a later date.
