Concerns grow over future global oil shipments


Eight tankers passed through the Strait of Hormuz today in the first major transit since the US-Israeli war on Iran began seven weeks ago, even as Tehran tightened control of the vital waterway.

Iran says it has restored strict military oversight of the strait, raising fresh uncertainty over future shipping.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump says he could end the ceasefire with Iran unless a long-term deal is reached before Wednesday, while maintaining the blockade of Iranian ports.
