Common mergansers cross #Warsaw’s streets to the #Vistula River
Every year, in April and May, families of common mergansers from Warsaw’s parks travel to the Vistula riverline, where they will spend the summer season.
Employees of the Parks and Gardens Administration, supported by 30 volunteers, monitor the migrating birds and help them get to the Vistula River. So far, they have successfully guided nearly 150 young birds.
