“Commissions of Inquiry in SA are very constructive” – Dr. Mfuneko Sihlobo


Three months after the establishment of the SAPS Madlanga task team, at least three arrests have been made as investigations continue. In January, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the specialised team after receiving the first interim report from the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. Police maintain the arrests are not linked to evidence presented before the commission, but said more cases are being pursued. For analysis we are joined by criminologist and retired colonel Dr. Mfuneko Sihlobo.
