As the cold front continues in Gauteng, shelter operators say they are seeing an increase in demand as more people seek refuge from the harsh weather conditions. Homeless people in Johannesburg are pleading for assistance with winter clothes, food and shelter. These homeless people say they were driven to the streets by unemployment, poverty and migration to the city in search of better opportunities. Musa Mhlongo braced the cold to spend time with those without shelter in this weather.
