Cloudy and cold conditions are expected across Gauteng, with showers and thunderstorms possible in most areas.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe storms, with heavy downpours likely over parts of Johannesburg and surrounding western areas, raising the risk of localised flooding.

Cool conditions will continue into the weekend, with intermittent rain on Saturday and windy, colder weather expected on Sunday in parts of the province.
