Caracas protests erupt as Venezuelan vice-president demands Maduro release | ABC NEWS
Protests have erupted in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas to demand Washington release the country’s President Nicolas Maduro.
US President Donald Trump says the White House will ‘run’ Venezuela with the cooperation of Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodríguez, but the latter has contradicted his claims and reiterated her country would not become a ‘colony’.
President Trump refrained from naming who he will appoint to govern Venezuela when asked whether Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio or Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado would assume power.
