Cango Caves reopens to the public

The Cango Caves, one of South Africa’s oldest tourist attractions, have been relaunched after closing for two months following the devastating May 6 storms in the Little Karoo and the Garden Route region.

The floods and rockfalls caused a significant setback for the tourism sector after the closure of the R328 road.

The caves were opened two weeks ago after the road was reopened.

SABC News reporter Sagree Chetty reports from Oudtshoorn, in the Little Karoo.
