Calls for the University of Fort Hare vice-chancellor’s head

The University of Fort Hare is critisising the latest protest, calling it a full-blown academic hostage situation. Management says the shutdown has been organised by an unlikely alliance between taxi operators, and a group of what they call rogue, disgruntled individuals, all determined to give Fort Hare a bad name but the protesters claim that the only thing rotting at UFH, is the leadership. eNCA’s Ronald Masinda reports that they say Vice-Chancellor Sakhela Buhlungu’s reappointment will only perpetuate the rot at the institution.
