BU schoolgirl murder trial: Teen accused’s mental illness untreated since Covid-19, court told

The teenager accused of murdering a 16-year-old schoolmate in Bandar Utama is believed to have suffered mental illness for five years, psychiatrist Dr Ian Lloyd Anthony told the Shah Alam High Court on Thursday (Aug 13).

Defence counsel Kitson Foong said the accused – known to schoolmates as “The boy who wears the face mask” – experienced multiple disorders that worsened without early treatment.

Proceedings resume August 26.
