BREAKING: Police searching for suspects after 10 random shootings in Austin
We are now getting an update as police in Austin are searching for suspects connected to a series of apparently random shootings that happened this weekend. Austin Mayor Kirk Watson and Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis provided an update Sunday afternoon as investigators continued searching for those responsible. They have said that currently, 10 shootings are under investigation from late Saturday and into Sunday. Early reports indicate that two of the shootings targeted Austin Fire Department stations.
“We want to give you an update on some of the things that are going on in Austin right now,” Watson said during Sunday’s briefing. “Please remain vigilant.” Our partners at FOX 7 Austin have reported that police have said the suspects have been described as two Hispanic males in their late teens. One suspect reportedly has medium-length wavy hair, while the other has longer hair.
