Bokoni Mine | African Rainbow Minerals halts operations
Mining company, African Rainbow Minerals, has announced a halt in some of its platinum group metals mining operations at Bokoni Platinum Mine outside Burgersfort in Limpopo.
The mine says it is not closing entirely however scaling down on some of its core functions following a decline in earnings in the financial year ending in June 2025. The community of Atok where the mine is located has relied on activities at Bokoni Platinum Mine for the economic growth of the area for years.
