Beloved NY soldier killed by Iran came from military family #shorts
One of the American soldiers killed in an Iranian attack on a US base was a beloved “social butterfly” from a military family in Queens — with a smile that could “light up any room,” her heartbroken loved ones said Wednesday.
Sgt. Angel Rampersad, 28, of Ozone Park, had fearless plans to travel the world while serving her country when her young life was cut short Friday during the attack at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, friends and family told The Post.
“I don’t think there’s an emotion invented for this type of tragedy yet. Sad would be an understatement,” said Deacon Carlos Garcia, a neighbor and family friend. “It’s a tragic loss for our country, for our neighborhood, for the family.”
