Basic Education | New school history curriculum proposed
South Africa’s proposed new school history curriculum is set to place stronger emphasis on African history, local experiences and critical thinking skills.
This comes as the Department of Basic Education has published a draft version of the revised Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement for History, now open for public comment, outlining a move toward broader, more inclusive historical content.
