Australia has confirmed it will look to sign a security pact with Fiji, as one Pacific leader warned China’s behaviour means his nation is effectively at war.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met with Fiji’s leader on the sidelines of the Pacific Islands Forum meeting, where the bloc moved forward with a major climate initiative.
