Australia ‘demonising’ the nuclear industry despite potential to lower energy costs

Minerals Council CEO Tania Constable says Australia should be developing its nuclear energy capabilities and stop the “demonisation” of industries that will help bring down energy costs.

“Uranium is vital for nuclear energy … the use of uranium in nuclear power in small modular reactors and other nuclear reactors,” Ms Constable told Sky News Australia.

“We need exploration and development occurring in Australia and stop the demonisation of industries like uranium, like oil and gas, and like coal, which are so vital to energy costs coming down.”
