At Georgia rally, Trump claims France protests ‘have nothing to do with education’
President Trump once again suggested the France protests “have nothing to do with education,” instead suggesting migrants played an overwhelming role in the demonstrations during comments before a Georgia rally Saturday.
Trump has previoulsy blamed the mass protests in Paris and more in statements that were labeled “completely false” and “stupid” by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron excoriated his U.S. counterpart after Trump and other top Republicans expressed concerns about the riots.
“There is no visible foreign interference in the events that took place, but there has been a foreign manipulation of information,” Macron said on Wednesday. “That has led to comments that are as unacceptable as they are stupid from many people, including foreign leaders.”
