ANC to unveil mayoral candidates in two weeks

The African National Congress (ANC) says it is entering the final stages of selecting its mayoral candidates ahead of this year’s local government elections, with the party expected to unveil candidates for all eight metropolitan municipalities and 22 secondary cities within the next two weeks.

Party Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula, says so far, over 200 candidates have been interviewed by the national officials as part of the selection process.
