Alexandra Township Automotive Hub launched
Gauteng says industrial development is critical to creating sustainable jobs and addressing unemployment.
The provincial government has a target of 600 000 jobs across 12 priority sectors over the medium term.
It believes the automotive industry can help drive this growth by supporting small businesses and creating opportunities for skilled artisans.
Officials launched the Alexandra Township Automotive Hub in Marlboro, north of Johannesburg on Thursday.
