Albanese under fire for ‘playing media games’ as Trump tensions escalate

The Samuel Griffith Society Executive Director Mia Schlicht blasts Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for “playing games” in the media instead of resolving tensions with Donald Trump over the Iran war.

“If I was the Prime Minister, I would be doing anything I could to sort this out because the reality is America is our most important ally,” Ms Schlicht told Sky News host Steve Price.

“Now is not the time for the Prime Minister to be playing games in the media. If he wants to play games, then Australia needs to get pretty fair dinkum about getting our own defence system up to scratch.

“The Prime Minister really needs to sort out this confusing mess with President Trump.”
