Africa-France Summit | Peace and security among the issues to top the agenda

French President Emmanuel Macron has begun his African tour, meeting with his Egyptian counterpart ahead of the upcoming Africa-France Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.

The summit is expected to bring together leaders and government representatives from more than thirty African countries. France is seeking to strengthen its relations with African nations following a decline in its influence in the Sahel region.

Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, says the summit will focus on a broad range of issues affecting the continent and global partnerships.
