ADF’s relationship with electric vehicle technology analysed

Nationals Senate Leader Bridget McKenzie discusses the relationship between the Australian Defence Force and electric vehicle technology, saying “there are no standards” for its importation.

“I think right across the board, Liberal and National Party senators prosecuted a lot of topics against the government, and electric vehicles were one of them,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

“Seeing the increase of electric vehicles, we have no standards in how we deal with them … the biggest thing we saw when I was questioning the Department of Home Affairs, there are no standards currently in existence for importing this technology and ensuring Australians’ personal data, both voice and visual.”
