Biko family welcomes inquest reopening
The family of the late Black Conscious Leader, Steve Biko, have welcomed the re-opening of inquest into his death by the National Prosecuting Authority. The family was speaking following Biko’s annual lecture at Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape. Senior Counsel, Advocate Muzi Sikhakhane, delivered the key address of the lecture. The NPA filed papers looking into Biko’s death in the Gqeberha High Court in the Eastern Cape.
